Laser Special Projects was founded as a division of Laser Civil Engineering in 1994 by Mike Weaver. Mike has been in the position of Managing Director since 2000, when the company became Laser Special Prjoects and Mike continues as MD as VolkerLaser Limited. Mike has been fully responsible for developing VolkerLaser over the last twelve years with regard to in-house specialist skills and has endeavoured to put together a team of specialist people that can offer a unique service to the industry and provide a one-stop shop for both clients and main contractors
Associate Director (South)
Dave Williams
Technically competent Business Manager with over 20 years experience of the Civil Engineering and Specialist Contractor markets. An expert in Cathodic protection and concrete repair solutions. Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient running of contracts located within the southern region from inception to completion. Role consists of the delegation of duties within the southern regional team and direct involvement in the tender process, client proposals and resolution of technical issues, administration and control of all financial aspects of the southern business.

Keith Barrow
Technically competent Business Manager, Project Director and Civil Engineer with over 20 years experience of the Building and Civil Engineering market. Keith is business manager for the Northern Region of Volker Laser Ltd, responsible for all aspects of contracting including, business development, technical and commercial proposals, including bid management and risk, operational management, planning, programming and production.

Andrew Welsh
Andrew joined VolkerLaser in 2003 as an accomplished commercial and operations manager with twenty two years experience in the construction industry; he has an extensive track record within the civil engineering sector, including multi-disciplinary projects, the development and the implementation of new accounting and reporting practices.

Brian Dargan
As part of the strategic growth plan for Laser Special Projects, Brian Dargan joined in November 2004 as Operations Director. Brian has over 30 years Operational, Technical and Commercial experience within the Civil Engineering Repair Industries and is responsible with founder Mike Weaver for the overall management of VolkerLaser. Brians main responsibility is with the Northern Operations, based in our Northern Regional Office in Runcorn.
