When news arrived that Grant Millar, son of foreman, Rob Millar, was diagnosed and suffering with Grade 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer, the whole of VolkerLaser pulled together earlier this month in aid of a fundraising barbecue.
Utilising suppliers and contacts from up and down the country, our hard-working staff managed to secure an abundance of charitable donations to help the cause. Thanks to the overwhelming number of generous contributions, we were able to organise a raffle and auction, where prizes included tickets for the England Euro 2016 qualifier, including a three course meal and unlimited drinks, a Ferrari Racing Experience Red Letter Day and an Apple iPad.
The day was a great success, and thanks to the efforts and contributions of everyone involved, we managed to raise an impressive grand total of £4040.90.
