VolkerLaser charity race night raises over £500 for Designability
Staff from VolkerLaser have raised over £500 for a national charity focussed on engineering and designing life-changing assistive technologies.
The proceeds of the annual fundraising event, which this year took the shape of a charity race night, were presented to the Designability team based in Bath.
Designability joins expertise and knowledge to transform the lives of people living with a disability across the UK by conducting original research and developing helpful products that meet real needs.
The event was held at Worcester Racecourse, local to VolkerLaser’s head office, and received support from suppliers across the country, who generously donated raffle prizes.
VolkerLaser have a history of supporting both local and national charitable organisations, with recent events raising money for St Richard’s Hospice, the Worcester Food Bank and Macmillan Cancer Support.
