As part of ongoing work with the Berkeley Group, VolkerLaser delivered £250,000 worth of works to high-rise residential blocks for St Edwards, within the capital.

Key services provided

  • Green roofing
  • Waterproofing
  • Paving
  • Installation of insulation

VolkerLaser supplied and installed Stirling Lloyd hand grade and spray grade Integritank waterproofing systems, which was applied to insitu concrete. The project involved a combination of finishes, including paving, ballast and green roofing. VolkerLaser were also tasked with the installation of insulation to the required thickness and U-Value rating, with a filter membrane laid on top of the waterproofing system.

Working on an extremely busy site, VolkerLaser had to manage the project efficiently in order to ensure a timely completion to budget. Working in close proximity to residents occupying the flats, the team had to work sensitively to the needs of stakeholders, limiting noise and vibration to not disrupt the nearby public.

“I would recommend VolkerLaser to other contractors, and would have no issues in working with them again on other projects and indeed look forward to doing so.”

Lenny Smith, senior site manager, St Edward Homes.
