Prior to bridge deck waterproofing, VolkerLaser first carries out a series of surface tests to ensure the selection and application of the appropriate system. This process includes a freeze and thaw cycle, as well as fatigue and bond testing.

VolkerLaser has provided this service on a number of prestigious sites across the UK including Reading Bridge, which carries around 24,000 vehicles every day and required major waterproofing and strengthening works. During the project, VolkerLaser delivered 600m2 of Stirling Lloyd Eliminator waterproofing to protect the structure of the bridge.
