The CN Specialist Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of specialist contractors in the UK, with a panel of more than 60 judges deliberating over the nominations.

Innovation of the Year:

VolkerLaser has been shortlisted in the Innovation of the Year (Contractor) category for the combination of access systems, Fast Beam and V-Deck™. 

Whilst Fast Beam and V-Deck™ offer highly efficient value engineering solutions individually, they become a uniquely developed system when used in tandem. With the two systems in place, VolkerLaser can now facilitate a 360-degree working area for repair and maintenance works to be undertaken, being the first in the UK to combine access systems in this way.

Outstanding Contribution to Specialist Construction:

VolkerLaser has also been shortlisted for Outstanding Contribution to Specialist Construction - a new category celebrating Construction News’ 150th anniversary this year. With a 27-year history within specialist construction, VolkerLaser is uniquely qualified to win the award for outstanding contribution. Working on an endless list of prestigious sites across the UK, the company has played a key part in maintaining transport networks, repairing and refurbishing historical structures, and solving complex challenges with innovative services.

The winners will be announced at the CN Specialist Awards ceremony, taking place at the Brewery in London on Tuesday 19 October 2021.
