VolkerLaser helps light up Christmas at Salvation Army

On Tuesday 8 December, employees from VolkerLaser visited the local Salvation Army centre in Worcester to donate to their annual Christmas Present Appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of all at VolkerLaser, we were able to raise over £200 in cash donations, with other members of staff also donating presents.

Following discussions with the Salvation Army representative, VolkerLaser used the monetary donations to buy a range of gifts, encompassing all ages. From gift sets to warm winter clothing, VolkerLaser ensured that all boxes were ticked.

Kelly Harding, corporate communications business partner, who was responsible for buying all the gifts, said; “I have been lucky enough to be involved in the Salvation Army Christmas present appeal for the last four years, and each year VolkerLaser donates more and more. 2020 has been a tough year for everyone, and it meant donations were even more important this year. I was overwhelmed with the generosity shown by my colleagues, and was delighted to be able to drop a huge amount of gifts to the Worcester centre last week, ahead of their open day on Friday.”

The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal is an opportunity to support children who may not receive a gift this Christmas, and VolkerLaser will continue to support this, hoping to raise even more money next year for such a worthy cause.
