VolkerLaser runners visit Birmingham Children's Hospital
On Wednesday 18 June, Jamie Musa, Kelly Gracie and Molli Jones proudly represented the company as they were invited to the hospital for an official handover of the funds, following the Birmingham Half Marathon in May.

The team were warmly welcomed by Sophie Nesbitt, philanthropy and partnerships executive, and received a guided tour to learn more about the extraordinary work the charity undertakes- especially the “It Starts Here” project, which our fundraising is helping to support.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital provides exceptional care to thousands of children and young people, with a focus not only on clinical excellence but also on creating therapeutic environments to aid wellbeing. Their projects reach far beyond Birmingham, with research and innovation that improves lives across the country. In support of the fantastic work they do, 14 VolkerLaser colleagues ran the Birmingham Half Marathon, raising a total of £4,060.
“We were so pleased to be invited to Birmingham Children's Hospital to officially donate our half marathon fundraising amount – a massive £4,060. We had a tour of the hospital and heard more about the incredible work the charity does to fund research that not only benefits this hospital, but others across the whole of the UK. We saw the spaces they create for the children and their families to help bring solace and calm during the most difficult of times. Being able to see all this first-hand made the training and the half marathon itself more than worth it, and we’re proud to support such an amazing charity.”
