Making a difference: VolkerLaser returns to support KEMP Hospice

On Friday 5 June, eight members of our senior leadership team spent the day volunteering in the garden at KEMP Hospice, as a part of Volunteers’ Week.

Based in the heart of Wyre Forest, KEMP Hospice offers specialist care and support to patients, families and carers who are living with life-limiting illness and bereavement.

During their visit, the team generously gave their time to tackle a substantial garden project, making a real difference to the hospice grounds. KEMP’s garden is an important part of the hospice environment, offering patients, families and visitors tranquil outdoor space to spend time together, enjoy nature and take a moment away from the challenges they may be facing. Our support will help maintain and enhance this special area for everyone that visits KEMP.

Throughout the day, the team worked incredibly hard to improve and maintain the garden. Their efforts included transforming rockery into an additional seating area and revamping existing benches, creating even more opportunities for patients and visitors to enjoy the outdoor space. Our colleagues brought enthusiasm, dedication and a real willingness to get involved, which was greatly appreciated by everyone at KEMP.

At VolkerLaser, we are dedicated to supporting our local communities and creating a lasting impact where it matters most, we look forward to working with KEMP Hospice again in the future.

"It’s been lovely to have VolkerLaser return to help take on the substantial garden project for us. Our garden is a big part of our patients' experience as it provides a peaceful and calm environment that can enhance emotional wellbeing, and provoke discussion and social interaction. As part of National Volunteers' Week, the team reached out to KEMP to offer their support. It was a delight having some of the team here, and we are so grateful for all their hard work and support."
