Spreading joy: VolkerLaser supports six charities this Christmas
Over the last week, VolkerLaser has donated £6,000 to charities to show our support this festive season.
The charities, selected by our divisional leads, have all received £1,000 each. We’ve donated to: Movember, Mind, Samaritans, Midlands Air Ambulance, Crisis and Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).
Dundee Foodbank donation
Local gifting: Donations and volunteers
In addition to our monetary donations, our teams have been busy with some local gifting and volunteering.
In Dundee, our team working on the Tay Road Bridge project donated over £170 worth of food to the Dundee Foodbank to help support local families over the Christmas break.
In Newcastle, the team working on the A167(M) Central Motorway has donated arts and crafts sets to a local nursery.
Worcester Foodbank donation
In Worcester, our head office team collected items for a local Bingo Box Challenge, an annual campaign run by ISO Quality Services to collect essential food items for the Worcester Foodbank. We also donated more than 30 gingerbread houses for them to add into their Christmas food packages.
And finally, in London, we’ll be lending a hand to the Basket Brigade on Tuesday 23 December as they prepare and deliver hundreds of gift and food baskets just in time for Christmas.
